Bert Kitchen has perhaps best been known for his beautifully illustrated children’s books. Bert authored and illustrated nine children’s books during the decade between 1984-1994, and illustrated several more.

He has received the International Award for Illustration at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and a Gold Medal for Illustration from the Society of Illustrators in New York.
